To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 好耐以前同屋企人食過元朗間北京樓,記得個時食既烤鴨肥美多汁,近日行過沙田見到北京樓,一時口痕就入左去食,結果真係難食!食物方面我地叫左個4人餐($888),認真呢個價係幾抵,然而,食物方面無一樣係打得~前菜(冷豔三併)難食到震,個茉莉花茶煙素鵝真係搞唔綻,一大陣煙灰同燶味。前菜既角色係開胃,但佢完美咁封左我個胃🤪。雲腿花膠雲吞雞湯咸到乜味都食唔出,飲完要博命灌水,雲吞足料幾好食。松子黃花魚,失敗!眾所周知黃花魚係海洋十寶之一,肉質鮮嫩。然而,呢道菜完美浪費左條魚!!條魚明顯炸過龍,魚肉有d鞋,外皮好硬仲要有浸臭油味 烤北京填鴨係今日既主角,講真,唔好食🤣鴨肉鞋得黎又瘦,無乜鴨香味。食完第一舊都唔想食第二舊🤧(同埋我7點20分已經叫員工烤左隻鴨先,結果8點40分先上呢隻鴨,大家都食飽哂先上🫠)估唔到成張枱唯一食哂既菜係瑤柱蛋白炒飯(足以證明其他餸菜幾唔太歡迎)🤧 炒飯炒得幾乾身香口,同出面酒樓一般水平。
