To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 晚上六時已經坐滿四成嘅枱, 今時今日一點也不出奇, 因為香港市民在疫情之下已經慣咗提早食晚餐。最先到的是脆脆BB豬沙律, 一隻碟上, 普通沙律菜加沙律汁墊底, 四件乳豬放面, 微暖, 不是熱的, 比起以前四格點分開上 熱辣辣的脆乳豬比較遜色了。 再嚟蟲草花涼拌鮑螺片小食, 普普通通不過夠曬凍。主菜到先嘅就係 鴛鴦豆腐燴加拿大龍蝦, 雖然豆腐又平, 龍蝦用碎粒, 加埋罐頭龍蝦湯, 不過整得好食, 可能個組合令到啲味好夾。 酥香鴨半隻 都還可以。 蘆筍山藥炒藕片 十分清淡, 算係素食推介。 菠蘿咕嚕肉 大汁咗啲, 但係個汁唔夠味。最後有啲驚喜嘅就係鐵板蔥香脆皮海參, 鐵板蔥油都幾重鹽味, 海參發好曬但係冇入味, 中間讓薯蓉之後再落漿炸脆, 有啲新意! 如果釀蟹粉仲矜貴, 又可以收貴啲!壽包就普普通通, 但係最好就係唔使等20分鐘! 十分鐘就有!
