To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 周日與家人飲茶,選了北京樓,原因是食物種類多,除了平時常吃的廣東點心,還有京淮菜式,正合我們貪心為食心意。無鍚小籠包外皮厚度適中,夾起亦不會穿,內裏充滿熱燙燙湯汁和大大粒美味肉餡,不油膩,好食。點心拼盤賣相漂亮。蝦餃燒賣大隻爽口,黑松露野菌素菜蒸小包賣相吸引,脹卜卜很可愛,素菜餡料清新爽脆,美中不足是鮮蝦菜苗餃有一隻外皮爆裂,但味道仍是很不錯的。荔蓉海皇酥炸得火候很好,完全不油,茘蓉香而綿密,裏面還有各種海鮮粒,例如蝦、魷魚、蟹肉,增加口感,正。豉油皇煎腸粉甜豉油好香,腸粉煎得焦焦的,很香口。如果可以加些芽菜一起炒更好。北京菜肉水餃其實餡料湯汁跟小籠包一樣,只是外皮是較厚的一種,吃到麵粉皮的煙韌,好味。鳳梨海鮮燴飯鳯梨茨汁好清甜,炒飯底加上鳯梨汁好適合熱天食,開胃清新。韭黃肉絲炒拉麵本來我們都滿意這頓飯,但就是這拉麵太扣分。這拉麵看上去顔色好像醬汁香濃,但實質沒有一點味道,而且整盤麵只有一兩條肉絲,韭黃亦只有數條。我們都後悔點了這個。千層咖啡糕最後甜品是好吃的,咖啡味香濃,奶凍很滑溜。
