To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 今日到處人生人海,由其中式酒樓排隊排得誇張,唯獨牛角這間。可能是下午茶的關係,枱與枱之間闊落,四野無人像包場一樣,下午茶還有半價餐。我們三人行每人點了二個餐牛肋肉x2,豬頸肉x3,一口牛。未燒前已看到肥膏部份都頗多還加了醬汁芝痳,燒熟後入口一定會像和牛的感覺。一口牛未燒前肥膏部份較少,肉身佔大部份。跟餐+12元就可轉"OK"便利店賣的西爪汁(OK店$16)。牛肋肉一如燒前判斷一樣,入口有少少即容的感覺,肉味香濃配白飯一流。豬頸肉跟普通越式餐廳吃到的沒太大分別,只是用燒的方法而已,沒加特別醬料腌制。一口牛味道不錯,不過個別有幾粒特別"un",肉身帶點肥膏。
