To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 冬至想吃好點,外出吃飯也能有經濟的選擇‼️這個冬至套餐超豐富,奶奶都說食物質素超預期~芝士洋蔥焗大啡菇~洋蔥及芝士焗後特別香,跟大啡菇很夾~野米南瓜日本遼參~遼參比想像中大,沒想到這價錢有這質素,感覺值了,野米混合了數種米粒煮成,口感豐富,每口更有南瓜香~紐西蘭烤羊架~完全沒有騷味,肉質吃起來腍軟鮮嫩~百花炸釀蟹鉗~蝦膠彈牙而札實,外層加上了杏仁片,使其口感更脆香~六頭鮑魚拌玉掌~鮑魚有海水鹹香味道,還有一點啜刀,鮑味香濃;而玉掌也大隻好吃,不錯~大虎蝦天使麵~大虎蝦蝦味特濃,鮮香而彈牙,天使麵也很好吃,柔軟細滑~京式片皮鴨~每日也有一整份片皮鴨的,肉香油甘,伴上煙韌的粉皮及青瓜京蔥等同吃,味道一流~玫瑰陳皮糕~玫瑰花外型超靚,糕點很有陳皮香,吃後舒服~
