To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 家姐就快去移民,所以特登揀咗一間特別嘅中菜,由阿翁主理嘅阿翁小館,一定穩陣!加上家姐特別鍾意食大閘蟹,我哋就點左呢個「至尊大閘蟹鮑翅宴」。我同家姐食完都非常滿意!生拆大閘蟹粉翅翅既粉量好多! 加埋蟹粉嘅點綴,一絕!28頭吉品鮑阿翁嘅鮑魚真係不得了,又入味,林得黎又有咬口,火候啱啱好六兩大閘蟹新鮮,非常足秤,好多白色膏,成個口腔都漿住左。蟹肉非常飽滿,我同家姐食到lamlam脷薑蔥生煎鹽香雞呢個食落有驚喜,雞皮煎到好脆口,加埋薑蔥嘅鹹香,好開胃蟹粉蟹肉炒飯好炒功,粒粒分明,又乾身,啖啖蟹粉蟹肉味!
