小女兒很喜歡香口燒烤食物,所以韓燒、日式燒肉、串燒都是她的最愛。講開串燒,就一定要講日式串燒,因為只有日式串燒才會將各種食材徹底運用。日式串燒大致可以分為兩大類:燒鳥及串燒き。「鳥」即是雞,所應用食材就是整隻雞的每一部位,除了會將雞肉細分為不同位置之外,連內臟也不會錯過。「串燒き」就將食材擴闊至其他肉類及蔬菜。更加喜歡後者,因為口味更加多元化。香港食日式串燒唔會便宜,最近聽朋友介紹有一間「燒烤堂」,既相當正宗、亦很抵食,今日就去到銅鑼灣分店試試。打開電梯門當然見到招牌,旁邊就貼了大大張海報,全部都是各款串燒,還有大大隻字宣傳口號:「港台川中西日韓泰嘅串燒,我哋瓣瓣認真」。明顯有點兒誇張,串燒只是離不開四川、日本及泰國三種口味。印象中,「永光中心」內的日本食肆差不多每一間的格局都是一模一樣。門口一邊是酒吧或壽司吧或開放式廚房,對面靠外牆位置是一排卡座;門口另一邊就全部是座位區。「燒烤堂」也是相同格局,而裝修風格就很接近一間小型個體戶日式居酒屋。自選餐單前後兩頁,款式遠較傳統日式串燒店多,多了四川麻辣串燒、泰式燒烤及港式口味燒海鮮;而且全部非常抵食,定價較一般日式串燒店便宜一截。星期六晚上
