To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 星期天的例行公事當然要與兩老嘆茶啦。今次他們選擇了美心皇宮,今天的德福商場人流頗多,食肆旺,即使下午2:45的美心皇宮,仍有食客等候入座。我們等了大概15分鐘,終於入座了。滿心期待地看點心紙美食時有點失望,因為食物選擇很少,後來才發覺原來點心紙上的食物只是一部分,位於酒樓的中間位置,放著點心車,食客可自行選擇,不用入紙等食物呈上。點心車的出現,感覺又像回到從前,偶然還有一兩架車穿梭枱與枱之間。食物都算新鮮好味,蝦餃四大粒,蝦肉爽口彈牙。羅漢齋腸粉略嫌淡味,但勝材食材新鮮爽脆 。蘿蔔糕外皮金黃帶脆,帶有臘腸,蝦米等, 大大提升了蘿蔔糕的味道。 牛筋淡嫩不膩, 質地有如海參,很有嚼勁, 醬汁惹味。 有皮鳳爪, 皮骨易離,皮軟滑,骨酥爛, 醬汁香濃。 風沙豆腐,豆腐軟滑,外脆內軟,小脆加酥,熱辣辣, 十分香口。三人用餐,埋單三百多,價錢略高,但環境乾淨 ,衛生好,坐得舒適,兩老食得都開心。
