To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 每星期都去一至兩次食早餐,見到啲女侍應嘅服務態度,已經忍無可忍,全餐廳嘅女侍應對客人都有敵視嘅態度,我真懷疑佢地係長期親戚到,上至藍衫所謂高級侍應,下至普通侍應,都好齊心咁對付啲客人,食物已經一般般,食個豬扒米粉,米粉淡到清水,豬肉丸河啲肉丸又係淡戊戊,價錢又唔係平,相對份量又細又唔扺食,仲要服務勁差,黑面神上身,見到好多人都係呢到投訴,呢間銀龍唔明仲有咁多人去食,已經決定唔會再幫襯,食到一肚氣,飽哂。
