To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. 兒子訂了枱給母親做節, 本人做陪客.七點三十分的枱, 早了十五分鐘到, 知客小姐說正要電召我們, 因為已經有枱.一齊上樓, 只見已是高朋滿座, 水洩不通. 客人坐得背貼背. 很嘈雜.菜單是專為母親節特定的, 內容只是價錢與人數掛鉤.我們三人, 只選了688大元的"愛母宴", 足四位用.內容是:1. 乳豬拼盆; 七分2. 鮮蚧肉燴魚翅; 七分3. 馬來醬野菌蝦仁; 八分4. 古法蒸龍躉件; 七分5. 珍珠蚌泡菜苗; 五分6. 蔥油走地雞(半隻); 五分7. 蓮蓉蟠桃;8. 合時鮮果.送大嘉士伯啤酒一支和汽水三罐.乳豬拼盆先來, 乳豬件不少, 但皮是腍的, 有白切雞和豉油雞, 海哲, 都是普通料.鮮蚧肉燴魚翅頗鹹, 蚧肉無鮮味, 碎翅不腍, 只有形, 不甚中吃.馬來醬野菌蝦仁是比較好的, 蝦仁很爽脆, 但味道很假, 雜菌和西芹郤幾好味.古法蒸龍躉件, 份量很少, 片得薄薄的, 可幸不腥, 味道也不差.珍珠蚌泡菜苗是稍差的, 這蚌沒有味, 粗鞋, 只是賣相頗佳和不肥膩, 在底的白菜不腍, 湯底沒味.蔥油走地雞是最後上的, 已經飽得差不多了, 肉很粗鞋, 可能真的是走地雞, 味道一般.再來的
