To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 話說喺新世紀睇完早場同老婆、外母飲茶,然後去咗北京樓排隊等位。等左大約半個鐘頭就有位,坐低之後見到有個片皮鴨二人餐幾抵食就試下。第一道先上個沙律,好似有啲格格不入,但係食鴨咁肥膩嘅食物之前黎啲素食都唔錯。第二道係個時菜鮮魚𡙡,略有啲鹹,但係個人偏好稍為重味啲都可以接受。第三道係宮爆蝦球,蝦球炸漿好脆,肉質爽口,配上咕嚕汁,好開胃。第四道係主菜片皮鴨,皮脆肉嫩,雖然片得偏薄,略為凍左啲啲,但係作為二人餐份量絕對足夠,若然要挑的話,反而覺得塊粉皮唔夠熱同太薄。第五道係蟹粉小籠包,中規中矩,係好味,必須趁熱食。第六道再黎碗拌麵,呢個面唔係難食,但基本上唔洗食,因為已經好飽。最後一道甜品係椰汁糕。作為二人餐黎講,係非常抵食,其實四位都夠食,而且上菜速度好快。你未食完一道,下一道已經送到上枱。特別一讚係,旺角店嘅侍應都好有禮貌,令食客有賓至如歸嘅感覺。想食片皮鴨的話,可以放假早啲去試吓。
