To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. 難得平日放假，一於約埋媽媽食個lunch,之後行吓街。德福廣場一向多食肆，諗嚟諗去，最後去咗牛角食lunch。牛角嘅set lunch, 超多選擇，除咗燒肉set, 仲有飯麵選擇。講真牛角燒肉set lunch都幾抵食，一個set, 包晒前菜，湯，主菜，飯同飲品,最平六十幾已經可以，仲要係肉類質素唔錯。我同媽媽分別叫左個自選燒肉set(揀牛舌同腹胸肉)同牛肋肉四品盛合，追加多份帶子。一次試齊咁多款牛，款款肉都好好味，仲可以食埋牛角飯，超級滿足。
