To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). 今晩想食韓燒就去左牛角等位，去到已經係6:45pm，門口好多人，已要等1x張，咁我們唯有行陣先再返轉頭。原來做緊HSBC promotion, 有兩個套餐優惠，我們就揀左極上和牛大皿燒肉（2人前）$360有沙律、牛筋煮、牛筋肉、牛舌、豬頸肉、丹麥雞胸肉、塩味牛油帶子、飲品。另加牛油金菇。牛筋肉唔錯，雖然比較細塊，但唔係簿切，而且很有肉汁，很香口。牛舌就比較薄，所以燒極都乾和韌。牛油帶子很易handle, 只放在爐邊慢燒就ok, 當然要得閒反下佢，因為牛油比較易燶。
