To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 今日大年初二,是回娘家拜年的日子。早上飲過了開年茶,回娘家打了四圈…我敗北而退。晚餐媽媽選了上環分店是喜歡這裡沒有時間限制,不像其他食店…分18:30 或 20:30。新正頭,梗要吃些意頭餸……鮑撈起… 頭盤,七彩繽紛、喜氣洋洋、喻意吉祥。侍應在上菜後會介紹一番,接著叫席上客人舉起筷子“撈起“;越撈越起,喻意其實味道一般,但意頭最緊要。當紅乳豬半只,熱辣辣、脆卜卜,只是肥了一點翡翠炒蝦球,味道清清的;蝦爽口帶點鮮。一品鍋 … 鍋子裡除有鮑魚、海參…还有花膠鵝掌。海參煙靱有咬口;花膠不夠“淋“,鵝掌大而肉厚燘得“淋“;鮑魚只有4隻,我沒有吃……龍蝦伊麵,龍蝦不大隻…是加拿大龍蝦;肉質彈但肉不多。要讚是伊麵…龍蝦汁被伊麵全吸收而麵質是爽口唷!清蒸星班,約1斤重,原本order 2條… 19:15 星班已只剩這尾。 美心的蒸魚豉油是味美的,星班肉質滑且不易过火,所以這配搭沒得挑剔啊!足料臘味糯米飯,其實大家已經有飽意,但這晚我很想吃… 童叟無欺,很多臘味;还溝了些粘米,所以不會很“立“咀。上環這分店地方頗大但人也多得很,幸好食店也多請了侍應生…不致令客人叫天不應。
