To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 新城市廣場一到星期六日,要搵位飲茶一定難所以120分鐘等位唔出寄。我標題寫著是「新茶樓人是舊」,未變身或者升呢之前前身是美心皇宮,現在換成翠園後好多舊美心皇宮既員工都留在翠園工作,包括常常走出來睇住點心姐姐既廚師。剛變身後食過一次,確實比舊的好,點心好食好多。於是11月03日我們一行三人再去過,點了蝦餃粉粿鵪鶉蛋燒賣珍珠雞棉花雞沙爹牛柏頁煎推仔上述都好好味既野,熱騰騰上枱,不過「煎推仔」就叫人失望,煎推仔一上枱我跟另一友人馬上把它夾進口中,欲異口同聲發出「凍既」;真........真的是凍,連丁點兒既暖都沒有,心想煎推仔何是變了凍食?? 凍食既糯米已不是軟的已沒有趣,再加上凍的關係感覺好油。跟侍應姐姐反映,佢既回應都幾有趣:「呢D係咁架喇,一早炸定」,其實炸完放落架炸車來推銷好過用人手去Sales ~ 始終不保溫嘛。
