To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. 九龍灣德福行街睇戲,突然想食燒肉,於是搵咗日式嘅燒肉牛角,好耐冇食過牛角啦,水準依然保持到,兩個人坐低叫咗一個兩人套餐,而且有某銀行有信用卡優惠。套餐包括有蕃茄沙律,明太子沙律菜,海鮮拼盤,牛,雞、豬肉拼盤菇類,還有好好味的溫泉蛋紫菜飯。第一次日式燒肉燒海鮮拼盤,海鮮雖然新鮮,但並不易燒,所以味道麻麻,還是建議大家叫肉類好啦。試左肉類拼盤之後,結論還是牛肉最好味,所以大家可不用叫套餐,還是自選唔同部位的牛肉,才能識到邊個部位最好味,拼盤入面的牛脷簿身,牛味濃但口感同日本嘅燒牛脷飯仍然有段距離,於是額外點了厚身牛脷,果然味道不同,都好好味。
