To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 我經常性覺得香港的早餐好悶,食來食去都係火腿通,炒蛋。又或是中式的白粥,腸粉。但早餐係一日最重要嗰餐,點可以唔食呢。世界唔變,唯有自己尋改變。雖然呢個都係炒蛋,但呢到炒得幾好,無溝嘢炒,但油就多左。辣雞丁米,五香肉丁就食得多,嚟個辣雞丁。味道同五香肉丁差不多,但就稍為辣小小同多左d雞味。潮州四寶湯河,將平常午餐才食的搬到早餐。估唔到又幾好,湯底奶白色,味道又夠濃。四寶丸都爽口,特別推薦係魚皮餃,皮雖厚,但咬落有口感,入面的餡味道特別,又有彈性。銀龍有好多分店,吃過幾間麻麻地,估唔到呢間味道幾好,有下次。
