To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 本身滿心歡喜同家人共聚天倫,一到店舖客人已經不算多,本身仲擔心好多人,所以特意去book位~落單嘅時候,疑似係店長or經理,總之職員話佢係負責人!我好清晰講清楚係要半隻黑松露雞,他都重複一次order半隻雞!點知黎到係一隻雞嘅份量,但係因為當時同家人聚會,大家都係有傾有講,根本都冇為意/理會過佢黎嘅係一隻雞定係半隻雞,但食到一半嘅時候先發現到原來有兩隻翼,我哋就開始質疑呢碟係一隻雞並吾係半隻雞。到埋單嘅時候,查看賬單先發現原來佢落咗一隻雞,個重點係佢(尖沙咀分店店長)都承認 我哋係的確落咗半隻雞,但係最後黎錯左一隻雞!亦都承認落錯左單,再同我哋講「但你哋已經食咗了,依然需要比錢」真係呆左係度 無錯呀!我感覺有被敲詐的感覺。明明係店長落錯單,反而怪責客人身上?仲要作為店長,選擇用呢種方式去處理?莫非呢個係你哋嘅營運策略?打個比如我order 碗仔翅 你黎個天九翅比我 我又會分得清?總之我order左咩 你就比咩我 而吾係亂黎到就敲詐我比錢!我絕對會從任何途徑一直投訴!監管食物出品係餐廳負責,從來沒有想像過作為顧客仲需要去檢查餐廳提供嘅食物份量是否正確,簡直係天大嘅笑話!
