To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 之前細個住香港仔,南記真係恩物價錢抵,又飽肚,跟住出嚟做嘢之後,有時都忍唔住會買外賣返屋企食而家公司附近網上外賣平台就可以嗌到,所以成日都同同事嗌。唔知點解佢嗰個春卷,真係出邊複製唔到佢嘅味道,就算其他舖頭話係南記春卷,食咗都唔係呢種味。所以每次都嗌春卷,但係又好貪心想食埋腩肉,兩條春卷又唔夠食。所以永遠都係嗌單拼春卷酸辣米線再加一份腩肉先夠。酸辣湯底冇得輸,佢嘅酸菜又係出邊複製唔到,今日嗌外賣,試吓將米線轉做米粉,估唔到都幾出色,反而覺得米線冇米粉咁好食㖭啊,下次又可以試吓轉河粉先。
