To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 有朋友從日本回港,大家相約一起聚餐。雖然是晚餐時間,但食客唔多,仍然有套餐供應。晚市四位套餐$698這套餐有四餸一湯,另有甜品。燒味雙拼是叉燒和油雞。 叉燒燒得微焦,主要以瘦肉為主,甜甜地,肉味唔太突出。油雞帶骨部分比較多,雞油嫩滑,有一點甜豉油風味。明爐老火湯這老火湯是合掌瓜蘿蔔瘦肉湯。湯料十足,而湯汁的味道亦濃郁,帶有肉和蘿蔔的甜味,而且火喉十足,一點也不油膩。xo醬彩椒蝦仁鮮蚌這鮮蚌炒得脆口嫩滑,蝦仁爽口鮮嫩,雖然xo醬的味道唔太濃郁,但整體味道清爽輕盈,配上爽脆西蘭花,健康的感覺。古法蒸沙巴斑這條魚份量十足,蒸得剛剛熟,少少離骨。魚肉彈牙嫩口,加上甜豉油和蔥花,純粹的味道。金銀旦浸莧菜莧菜可算嫩口,可惜金銀旦的味道唔太濃郁,清清地,少油少鹽風味,但以這價格而言,是ok的。紅豆沙這紅豆沙味道比較淡,質地水狀,紅豆軟綿,味道輕甜。簡單的晚餐是ok的,最難得的是與朋友共聚的時光。
