To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 行完市廣場,去酒樓食個晚飯。今晚叫咗個海鮮自選餐(B) $598:套餐包括(1)上湯加拿大龍蝦配伊麵:有一隻龍蝦份量,一開六,啖啖肉,伊麵軟硬適中,可以掛上上湯。(2)4選1:貴妃雞(半隻)、豉油雞(半隻)、燒雞(半隻)和燒味雙拼揀咗叉燒拼燒腩,叉燒正常,燒腩皮唔脆。(3)點選2款小菜:揀咗一清一濃的:豉汁帶子蒸豆腐:豆腐嫩滑,帶子算大粒,分別食到豆豉味、帶子味和豆腐味😅魚香茄子煲:沒有鹹魚香,是油泡茄子,再配上肉碎。另外點了川芎白芷魚頭鍋$198:煎香半邊大魚頭,配上紅棗、川芎、當歸、白芷、薑等,是喜歡的藥材味,湯頭入口微苦,帶煎過的魚油香,加入豆腐卜和魚麵吸收湯汁,魚麵彈牙,沒有腥味,亦沒有很重的胡椒粉味,不錯。
