When Midori first arrived in Hong Kong, it was very popular, but after opening three branch stores, its momentum was not as strong as other big players, such as the more affordable Sushiro. Due to its pricing strategy, Midori was overshadowed. During lunchtime, the crowd was sparse compared to nearby restaurants. The sushi set, priced at around HKD 200, had average sashimi quality and lacked sea urchin, which was a bit disappointing. The sushi rice was slightly sour and had a solid texture. While the sashimi quality was not a major issue, the selection was limited. The most attractive option, especially without toro, was the fresh shrimp with fish roe, which had a rich flavor. Overall, there was a sense of mediocrity.
