To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 今晚同我妹同姨甥女去海趣分店食飯,叫左個芥茉意大利飯、加拿大安格斯牛扒餐同意式風情pizza…有幾樣野好唔滿意1. 姨甥女整跌左隻碟,侍應收走左隻碟後完全冇意向補返隻碟我地2. BB倒瀉水,本身已經冇俾紙巾我地竟然都算,竟然冇人過黎抹枱抹地,張枱我地用濕紙巾處理左,有個侍應行過明明已經見到塊地濕左,完全唔諗住抹!後尾有人發現叫侍應抹先抹,仲要求其抹完就算,都冇抹乾淨3. 因為個安格斯牛扒餐係話配薯條,但送到黎係冇薯條,我地問個侍應,個侍應係黑面,轉頭拎個薯條過黎話…其實係因為頭先冇薯條,所以先俾沙律我地!我同我妹都異口同聲地說…咁應該講聲呀!他們俾餐時講聲我地會接受,他們唔講聲,我地發現時緊係追啦!4. 其實之前去過一次,個次有個員工同另一個落緊單既同事傾計,搞到同事差D落錯單…我地都紛紛話,唔可以等同事落完單先吹水嗎?去過咁多間餐廳食飯,未試過去一間咁差的,我妹本身係侍應岀身見到咁既服務態度已經好憫,我妹甚至black list左它!希望餐廳既服務態度可以改善
