Went here a few times before - both lunch and dinner. And thought the food was ok. Yesterday I went again for lunch in a group of 3. The lunch menu says that the lobster pasta must be pre ordered one day in advance. Since we really wanted it, we still asked if there would be spares. The waitress abruptly said no. We could only pick two mains from the lunch menu and in the end had to pick something from the a la carte menu. We also ordered the antipasti platter, the corn soup. For desserts, there were only tiramisu and red wine pear, and we ordered both.

The soup was really ordinary - just like what you would expect in a set lunch at a way more casual restaurant. The antipasti was ok but the crab cake was quite salty.

A while later, the table next to us (which also hadn’t reserved for the lobster pasta in advance) also asked if it is available. To our surprise, another waitress went and helped them check and the answer was yes. I immediately asked the waitress who took our order. Not only was she not apologetic, she just said sometimes there are cancellations and there were a few that day. First, when we ordered it was already 1:40pm. Second, she didn’t even care to help us check if there are any when we ordered, even knowing that we really wanted it. Third, according to our receipt, all the pastas were put on hold. Knowing that we really wanted the lobster pasta, even if the cancellation only occurred after we had ordered, she could have let us know. Anyway, a really unpleasant experience - to see that the next table which arrived later than us could enjoy what we really wanted. I am not sure what’s the positioning of the restaurant but the service definitely did not match its price.

For the pasta, the seafood one was the best out of the three. The risotto was not as great as after all this is a restaurant which is know for its pasta. The pork ragu pasta was quite bad. The pork was really chewy and did not taste well.

For dessert, we liked the red wine pear more than the tiramisu.
