To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 星期日去等不用十五分鐘咁大堂叫號碼叫到我地,點知一到個位度,張枱一個人都無,只係開左張卡個侍應話有人坐又點我地出去同大堂講好啦,出度去個帶位服務員開咪問最終又帶番我們去剛剛個張枱今次仲好笑,個待應死口話張枱有人,六位黎緊同個位帶位服務員嘈,連部長都出動埋個侍應都唔比我地坐最終搞左十分鐘都要我地另外等個位。去到另外個位坐底落單,落三張單點知黎到既菜得一張單既野,我地追問侍應個侍應聽完無反應再大聲少少問,佢話「聽到啦,唔洗講咁多次啦。」咁你俾下反應好冇?但點知等左成半個鐘,重點既菜一樣都無黎。真聽到但都唔做?好慘,最後大家都食唔到想食既野連水都自己加,唔敢煩佢地.…不敢再崔侍應,所以我們係食唔飽情況下走。永遠唔會再去
