To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 今晚同朋友黎慶生。三個人叫左一隻烤北京填鴨,兩個小菜同埋甜品。所有食物都係熱辣辣,非常好。價錢都好優惠,烤北京填鴨半價,指定小菜有85折,滿HK$600用BOC PAY仲可以減$200。首先上菜既係北京填鴨。皮脆肉嫩,有鴨味。我比較喜歡呢間嘅北京填鴨切法,皮同肉分開。可以按個人喜好包幾多皮同肉都得。另外,我地仲叫左砂窩雞湯栗除芥菜同埋酸豆碎米雞跟叉子。呢兩碟就冇填鴨咁出色。砂窩雞湯因為上菜時已經分好左,所以就冇影到。個湯冇乜特別,飲得出栗子同芥菜都係分別煮既。至於酸豆碎米雞跟叉子,就因為我個就唔喜歡酸既餸菜,所以覺得一般。最後既甜品係高力豆沙。賣相同味道都好好,好足料。不得不題係呢度既服務。呢度既侍應會主動添茶水同換碟,相當體貼。
