#TDC T hotel was offering a high tea specially collaborated with the Sapporo Japanese chef from Koen Gakuen Ecole de Cuisine Patisserie. The $198 for two person with extra person only $99 which includes both savory and sweet items + coffee/tea. First, lets talk about savory things first
Sweet item includes matcha cream moose, yuzu sponge cake, strawberry moose with rasberry jelly and two chocolate bonbons in two style
The strawberry moose is not bad, medium intense flavour and goes well with jelly, however, in the end, the spoon doesnt even fit the bottom of the moose glass container and had trouble to enjoy the last bite
Match moose was ok.. standard pairing with red beans and chocolate base. Matcha taste can be stronger tho
The pastry cap with red beans and sweet pumpkin paste was described as "macaron like"dessert was abit disappointing. The pastry or cracker like cap was no where similar to macaron beside the size and shape. Sometimes bearing the name need to bear the customers imaginary taste as well especially when the cap was not that crisp nor sweet afterall.
The chocolate bonbon was niceeee... really nice... one with jam and other one is around 75% dark chocolate. The outter hard but inner soft and creamy texture created a contrast for this chocolate bonbon
The savory dish hv 4 items including foie gras mousse on brioche toaste, avocado and shrimp salad on taco, smoked salmon with cream cheese and last but not least, the ham and brie quiche with leeks ans petit herbs. Overall the item is quite enjoyable especially the quiche. The only thing is that the toast is quite dry and hard
Still hv one day to enjoy before they change the menu!!
