To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 完全無諗過喺一間大集團會有咁荒謬嘅經驗喺門口叫外賣,企正喺個員工隔離等,佢清楚知道我係等外賣。等足二十分鐘都未有,我去問個員工可唔可以跟一跟,佢喺枱拎袋外賣話「係咪呢袋?」完全荒謬!!!唔知呢袋外賣已經拎咗出嚟幾耐!完全一聲都無出過,冇叫過號碼,冇問過出面企嘅人。而當時係無人等位等枱,絕對唔係忙碌狀態。我喺求其一間茶餐廳都無經歷過咁過份嘅事!完全浪費我時間!個員工仲要一句道歉都無。打電話去搵經理投訴,同我講句話唔好意思,就諗住算。一間大集團原來處理投訴係咁兒戲!我話需要書面跟進,佢先話經理放假唔喺度!完全難以理解!我係搵經理,佢竟然一開始唔係,但冇同我講佢係邊個同咩身份。我宜家就睇吓究竟係咪真係會有人跟進!從來未試過咁受侮辱嘅處理!!!!!
