To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. 今日下午茶於太興燒味茶餐廳﹐這間店之前我亦有幫趁過﹐印象尚算不錯﹐不過今日的下午茶餐水準就不行了。要了一個叉燒米粉配冰鎮咖啡。不知道是現在流行瘦叉燒還是巧合﹖無論太興﹑廣東燒味或是大家樂都好﹐最近我吃到的叉燒都是不帶半點肥肉的﹐真係食之無味﹐棄之可惜。我認為叉燒無論燒得如何好﹐如果完全是瘦肉的話﹐怎樣也不會是上品。而且今日於太興食到的叉燒米﹐還有一個問題﹐就是份量少得可憐。一個下午茶餐﹐以茶餐廳計賣$25是不算便宜的﹐卻只有4~5片浮在滿滿的所謂“靚湯”中﹐浸得肉質發白﹐越食越乏味。只有米粉的質地還算不錯﹐但連凍飲+3元(﹗)共$28 只有如此水準的一碗叉燒米﹐我覺得絕對是“搵笨”。而所謂冰鎮咖啡﹐的確係十足份量﹐飲到尾也是原汁原味﹐因為冰不在杯中。但要加$3﹐下次(如果還有下次) 還是要熱飲好了。太興的服務及環境算是不錯的﹐不過﹐叫得做燒味專門店﹐一碗簡單的叉燒米居然可以做得如此求其﹐實在有點失敗。實在不明白為何叉燒跟米粉不可以分開上呢﹖而這一點﹐廣東燒味就做到了。
