To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 一家三口, 吃厭了附近的名樓, 又要來這裡吃燒鵝, 一想起便口水直流.訂了 7:30 的枱, 一去到便立刻安排入座, 只有七八成滿, 坐在燒爉枱前, 很奇怪以往掛得一排排的燒鵝陣不見了, 只有幾隻.二話不說, 便柯打了: 薑蔥粉絲蟹煲, 滷水掌翼, 粟米斑塊, 竹笙羅漢齋, 燒鵝例牌.二十分鐘後, 竹笙羅漢齋是先來的, 很足料, 吃了半小時也吃不完 (因慢慢吃, 其他的等了半小時也未來), 味道不錯, 少油, 少鹽. 8 分.粟米斑塊卒之也來了, 份量不少, 當然不是石斑, 可能是急涷鯰魚, 但是煮得外脆內嫩, 汁也好味, 可惜粟米粒太少, 8 分.繼續等, 燒鵝又來了, 是背部和半隻脾, 十分精彩的是肉嫩, 多汁, 皮不脆, 和鏞記一樣, 但價錢郤平一半, 9 分.又繼續等, 薑蔥粉絲蟹煲來了, 打開一看, 攪錯了, 給了蝦, 對阿姐說, 她堅持沒錯, 查單看, 是落單的阿姐錯, 不過等了個多小時, 錯也不和她計較了, 可幸味道也不差, 份量也不少, 7 分.滷水掌翼是等了兩小時也未來, 叫阿姐取消, 她郤立刻拿來, 說一早斬好, 只是擱置在枱上, 無奈接受, 味道也不差, 不過
