To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 阿媽教落睇人龍就知道嗰間食店好唔好味, 我和朋友剛剛在灣仔買完電腦, 正正是中午時分要醫肚 的 時候, 遠遠見到謝斐道有一大群人 龍, 當然越過去了解下情況啦原來呢間係叫做旺記冰室食 ,已經係攞到第10 籌, 等咗 十幾分鐘 好快就有位雖然爆棚, 餐牌非常簡潔只有七款午餐當然一定要試下呢個日本滑蛋叉燒蝦仁雙拼飯啦 最怕啲人滑蛋炒到死實實, 滑蛋炒得滑溜溜加上蔥花 ,雞蛋炒到半熟有蛋漿 流出, 蛋味香濃 大大隻蝦仁絕不欺場, 加上半肥瘦嘅叉燒 淋上 秘製甜豉油, 撈飯食一流, 加五蚊 可升級大杯裝凍飲我朋友選擇咗特濃蕃茄湯午餐肉通粉 配以先牛油麥包多士4.3牛奶炒日本滑蛋 蕃茄湯底非常濃郁 酸酸甜甜 非常美味, 大大粒嘅午餐肉粒, 午餐肉 粒煎得非常香口,牛奶炒滑蛋 炒得嫩滑非常 咁樣就享受咗一頓又快捷又美味又有營養嘅午餐呀埋單都唔使一百二十蚊 超抵
