To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. 八月花,其實就是貴價版美心酒樓,故菜式上有美心的影子。到訪當天剛巧是父親節,故只能點父親節菜單或套餐,我們還是選擇在父親節菜單內選擇單點。麻醬羅馬生菜,是一道沙拉,重點靈魂就是醬汁,味道有似像日式芝麻醬,個人挺喜歡义燒不夠鬆化,有待改進醬爆銀雪魚,收費$248,但只有5塊,感覺上有點貴,同時與洛神花黑豚肉一樣,味道偏甜黑松露鮮菌玻璃蝦球,蝦球很美味,卻略嫌黑松露不足,故味道只像鮮菌炒蝦球。黑蒜豚肉燉烏雞,材料十分足,但可能因為適逢佳節,生意太好,因為燉湯的時間不足夠,所以湯味尚欠火侯。八月花勝在位置,在朗豪坊內,味道不用太突出,也會大排長龍,所以在香港經營飲食,位置確實非常重要。
