Restaurant: Communal Dining Hall (Student Canteen II)

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 另一間 canteen,在文康大樓內,當日我們的目標其實不在此,原意是去《南北小館》飲茶,入門,說明了是 staff only,學生及校友只能去《茶樓》飲茶。不過,《茶樓》沒有開門,我們只好轉戰樓下的 canteen。新好多,也大好多,食品的選擇也大大不同,感覺上比較時尚,也覺得會比較好食。未說食物出品,單說環境也好許多,但檯與檯之間的空間就細了少少。不過,陽光充足的開揚景觀,比起舊 can 感覺上多了點舒適。是日,我同朋友二人決定食西餐,食他們的特式燒烤。什麼特式燒烤? 其實是雞骴一隻,配薯菜。薯,不是薯條,而是焗薯仔,有少少白汁陪襯一下味道,不覺熱氣。雞骴,有蜜糖的甜香味,肉厚,份量足,味道雖然很一般,但作為一份學生餐,最重要不是味道,而是食得夠唔夠飽。一個配腸仔,是英式的肉腸,而另一個就配漢堡扒,很明顯地,是一個給大家食飽飽的美食配搭。有燒汁的配襯,加強了整個餐的味道。環境比舊can好,不過情意結,始終是舊can優先。
