To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 見到雜誌訪問幾吸引,於是搵個平日,五點左右過嚟食個下午茶。下午茶餐叫咗芫荽叉燒蛋菠蘿包配熱奶茶。個菠蘿包淋曬,叉燒全部係肥肉,芫荽少少冇乜香味。對呢個菜式期望係最緊菠蘿皮夠脆口,同埋芫荽香味,點知完全失望。杯奶茶就係正正常常嘅港式奶茶,冇乜特別。成個餐$98加服務費,講真就完全唔值呢個價錢啦。唯一可取嘅係個環境服務幾好,張枱夠大,梳化坐得舒服,幾個侍應都好有禮貌。但係就食物質素同價錢嚟講,真係對唔住,唔會再幫襯啦。
