To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 旺角雖然大,但其實得幾間茶樓,所以通常都係去開果一兩間,仕德福酒店入面都有間酒樓,可能因為係地庫關係,星期六日都唔會爆場,但咁樣反應可以靜靜地飲下茶,唔洗咁嘈。鮑魚酥得兩件,面頭有啲似蘿蔔絲既物體,但食落口唔係蘿蔔味,所以我到而家都唔知係咩黎。鮑魚酥一上枱非常辣口,證明新鮮出爐唔會凍冰冰。入面既餡有好細隻既鮑魚,唔好期望會有鮑魚味喇,但咬落係有口感幾得意既。估唔到呢碟餃子得4隻咁少,用左D調過味既醋&炸蒜浸住,食過陣會痴到啲炸蒜一齊食,有得脆脆地咁咬下都幾過癮,蒜味呢到成個餃子更加香。另外叫左個牛仔骨蒸腸粉,呢個就唔掂喇...碟腸粉應該蒸左好耐好耐,根本淋到夾唔到而且牛仔骨D油流左落下面D腸粉度...成碟既感覺就係超級油...食左一兩啖已經無食"
