I was in Central for work and wanted to grab dinner before heading home. Wanted something quick and recalled this Sichuan noodle restaurant given the freezing cold weather. Their crazy set menu was so clear and easy to tick with choices of different components, toppings, upgrades of drinks or appetisers, and desserts. We ordered 2 noodle sets with a noodle + drink + appetiser + dessert at $98+10%. A basic set with just noodle + drink cost $78+10% while a set with noodle + drink + appetiser/desse

There didn't seem to be any inflation so far. It was not our first visit and we both ordered our favourites without any hesitation.

瘋狂豌雜面 was my favourite noodles here because the noodles were of appropriately al dente texture and tasted delicious! This time I asked for non-spicy and it was equally tasty. It was actually stirred noodle with mashed peas and minced pork. The Chinese-style ramen were very delicious as they were well seasoned so that every single noodle was full of the sauce. Although it was just stirred noodles without soup, the noodles were actually warm! There were loads of minced pork which were well seasoned. The mashed peas were pretty smooth and were like mashed potato with some chicken peas to chew! The loads of chopped spring onion and peanuts were great to enhance texture. The 2 pieces of choy sum were very fresh and tender. We topped up for a 鹵蛋 at $9+10% as there did not seem to be much meat. The marinated egg was sufficiently flavoured yet not overly salty. The egg yolk was fully cooked.

番茄牛肉面
番茄牛肉面 was my dinner partner's favourite. For the tomato broth, you could choose either 番茄牛肉面 or 番茄煎蛋面. The tomato soup was super super yummy! It was naturally sweet and very appetising! There were four super thin slices of beef and 2 pieces of fresh and tender choy sum and loads of spring onion and coriander to add flavour. Surprisingly healthy and yummy option at a Sichuan noodles restaurant!
夫妻肺片+$32+10%
We topped up by $32+10% to get this snack. There were quite a few super thin and small slices of beef shank, 牛肚 and 牛舌. The selling point should be the sauce which smelt very good of sesame though spicy. A lot of chopped spring onion was sprinkled on top. Quite a spicy snack indeed.

鍾水餃 $32+10%
鍾水餃 was marvelous as always. There were 6 dumplings. Although they were not big, they were super super smooth and the wrapping was reasonably thin. The stuffing seemed to be minced pork. The sauce was very interesting as it was slightly spicy, sour and sweet, making the dumplings taste very good. Highly recommended!

成都老冰粉 & 紅棗銀耳湯 +$10+10% each
The two sweet soups were really great value for money at a top up of just $10+10%. 成都老冰粉 on the left was very special. It was like a big bowl of jelly in 1 piece topped by some black & white sesame, raisins, peanuts and something white in the middle which we couldn't tell what it was even after eating. We ate it by drinking it like a bowl of liquid. So funny. It was delicious and of the perfect degree of sweetness and was so effective in cooling down our tongues after the spicy food. Very creative to add the toppings like this to add texture and flavour. The black and white sesame smelt so nice. Great value for money. The 紅棗銀耳湯 on the right was also great to cool our tongues down after eating the spicy food. There were a lot of 雪耳 which were so smooth while the sweet soup was of the perfect degree of sweetness. There was a red date. It was a pretty good sweet soup and a price of $10 was just unbeatable. Unfortunately the hot dessert was not available during our visit.
熱羅漢果冬瓜茶 & Hot lemon water (included in set)
For drinks, we just stuck to their 熱羅漢果冬瓜茶 & Hot lemon water without top-up given that we already got desserts. The former had a sufficiently strong flavour of 羅漢果 yet not overly sweet. There was nothing special about the hot lemon water. Healthy drinks.
In short, their noodles were really quite my cup of tea while their 鍾水餃 was surprisingly good.
