To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 今晚凍凍地走去食熱鍋,去到太興,之前都食過一個花膠素翅雞鍋,味道不錯想再叫來食,點知今晚來到已經無咗呢款,,咁就試咗另一個,咁岩又新推出叫咗個健美魚骨湯海鮮鍋,加套餐,淨睇幅相,賣相相當吸引,當時諗應該不錯,點知...熱鍋來到後,先講賣相,以為自己叫咗蕃茄湯,魚骨湯並不是奶白色,而係橙紅色,有無魚味可以話無乜,呢個鍋同幅相個鍋簡直二樣野,但味道尚算ok,唔知係咪蕃茄平呢,勁多蕃茄,反而海鮮就唔係太多,有魚塊,帶子,蟹柳,墨丸等,不過就細細件,由於太多蕃茄關係,海鮮味道完全被湯蓋住,食唔到鮮味,只食到蕃茄味,
