To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. 朋友仔生日，約左佢食lunch,諗住食問未食過。呢間平時幾多人，要早少少黎拎位，如果唔係一定食唔切叫左一個牛角沙律餐同一個燒肉餐，加18蚊up grade做可無限refill既牛角飯。另外可加22蚊加購海鮮，我加購“石斑塊。牛角沙律都幾大碗，又有薯仔，女士就咁食拎應該夠飽。燒肉我就覺得普普通通，可能我唔識欣賞。石斑塊幾好食，冇骨又唔“聲“。牛角飯好好食，呢個有encore。總結：間唔中lunch坐係到慢慢燒住食都幾好，不過已正常打工仔食lunch黎講偏貴。
