To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. <雞火炒飯 $88> 炒飯顏色只有淡淡的黄色及少許青蔥粒的綠色, 賣相平淡沒有令人口水流的外觀。炒飯配料只有雞及金華火腿, 比較單調。另外, 師傅把雞切成雞蓉般, 把金華火腿切成碎粒, 令炒飯的口感度大增。飯粒不夠完整, 飯粒又沒有炒至粒粒分明的效果。整體來說這個炒飯只屬一般。

平日到「翡翠」總要叫個小籠包, 今日例外。2小時後便去到台灣, 當然留肚子到台灣才品嚐正宗小籠包! 因此今晚揀了其他點心 <蘿蔔絲酥餅 $39> 1客3件的蘿蔔絲酥餅賣相吸引, 外表公整完美無瑕。酥皮摺皮細緻又多摺, 手工不錯!

咬下去, 蘿蔔絲酥餅熱烘烘, 表面的酥皮極為香脆。裡面的蘿蔔絲沒有一絲絲的效果, 蘿蔔絲已經轉化為蘿蔔蓉。幸好蘿蔔絲味道夠甜而且過了一段時間蘿蔔絲依然熱烘烘。
