To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 唔知係咪而家經濟復甦, 飲食業好難請到人, 顧客係要承受一啲好惡劣好粗魯嘅服務態度??去過唔同嘅太興餐廳, 佢哋統一服務質素-- 都係屬於差!杏花村呢間太興當然主要係做街坊生意, 顧客就絕對正正常常, 侍應甚至主管就非常騎呢!!今朝去食早餐, 喺門口素安心出口同埋量體溫, 然後就企喺度等侍應帶圍入座, 有個肥侍應喺外面入嚟, 一嘢撞到我好痛, 然後佢個眼神不懷好意咁, 雖然口裏面就有道歉. 佢畀我嘅感覺係好話我阻住條路, 所以特登大力撞我. 我就走返埋佢佢嗰度撞番佢囉, 佢竟然有反應喎, 又話我癡線又話我特登撞佢喎!!!一路係咁同其他職員喺度鬧喎.攞咗個侍應個名(佢仲好大方畀個名牌我睇添, 一啲都唔驚)之後投訴佢主管(無Q用), 跟住再打電話去公司, 咁就見佢開始驚啦, 收聲啦.所有侍應對顧客講嘢都係粗粗魯魯晦晦氣氣, 知道我唔好惹, 就特別對我好聲氣.呢啲咁樣嘅工作同服務態度, 好明顯係冇王管嘅結果!!!太興出品嘅食物質素ok嘅, 不過呢間杏花邨嘅太興我應該唔會再幫襯!!
