To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 好多年無嚟,以前都係同外國朋友或回港同學嚟食,而家好多酒樓都有填鴨食,不過都好參差。今次再嚟北京樓,裝修過係好啲,估唔到全埸滿晒。填鴨水準保持到嘅,唔會太多肥膏,皮脆加埋皮出片鴨肉,一咬之下咇少少鴨油,夠香而唔會好膩,薄薄餅皮有爐烘住保暖,而且有蒸氣令個皮保持濕度,每塊皮有一張墊紙,好方便唔怕撕爛。呢啲細節加分嘅。我哋三個人食半隻鴨,份量好足,餅皮都夠多,靑瓜大蒽唔夠可以添加。其他菜式,份量幾足,味道唔錯。半隻鴨、雞丁、牛肉、炒飯、炒蒿荀,連酒水,一千蚊左右,合理價錢。老字號企得住,難怪唔少捧場客。如果一班朋友,訂窗口位,睇埋夜景,應該幾正。
