To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 香港茶餐廳周街都系,至於連鎖茶餐廳#翠華餐廳  ,卻是多年嘅老字號,除食物種類多,有常餐、有焗飯、又有鐵板食,價錢合理又足料~我哋今次叫左鐵板同晚餐一試,全部改以碟上,免得系鐵板落汁時彈到我成身都系!!羅宋湯牛油豬仔包凍朱古力美國機的牛肩扒(蒜蓉汁)粟米雜菌忌廉湯牛油豬仔包凍檸檬茶鐵板薄西冷牛扒配意粉(黑椒汁)餐湯味道濃郁,配上脆脆嘅豬仔包,無敵嘅組合。至於牛扒叫左七成熟,肉質唔韌,配黑椒汁更加惹味。整個晚餐歷時約一小時內,有茶記要求嘅上菜速度同埋食物水準。
