To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 快一年未光顧此店。此新市鎮分店很光猛,令人感覺舒適。聖誕節氣氛濃厚。原來已停售燉湯。多人捧場是燒味,乾炒牛河和星州炒米。我試食榨菜雞柳炆伊麵和粟米滑蛋蝦仁炒河。熟客說炆,炒兩功夫都不錯。我以此兩款粉麵測考其實力。設計榨菜雞柳炆伊麵者應記一功。曾說漁香茄子炆伊麵難煮,即使成功亦有多油多鹽的負評。雪菜肉絲炆煮則太平常,豬肉絲往往嚡口。榨菜雞柳炆伊麵少有食店供應,少許辛辣,雞柳比豬肉嫩滑。熟客,街坊說此店炆煮得較濕潤,不會流於只重鑊氣,乾燥。粟米滑蛋蝦仁炒河勝在有粟米汁液,有甜味,不會太寡。此店炒蛋靚,滑蛋蝦仁有一定水平,炒河有鑊氣,只是蝦仁是雪藏貨色,是一大敗筆。飲品則頗佳。
