To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

今早跟家人往品茗，平日要等位的情況不見了，一踏入門口，就得到各侍應們親切的笑容，甫坐下即點了六碟點心，蛟類點心食味不錯，外皮造得夠薄又有彈性，腸粉又滑易入口，發財蠔豉粥，就粥好吃過蠔豉。食物與服務也不懶，但結帳查單時，發現部份價錢與點心紙上不符，向侍應細問時，她說︰「正確(？！) 此類點心跟正價計」，我反問︰「那麼點心紙上的部份價錢就是錯的，對嗎？那為何仍要用上此張點心紙呢？」，她無言以對，連「不好意思」也懶得說。新春時節，就算服務費加二，全類點心也作特點計也不打緊，最緊要是明碼實價，人客得到高於期望的服務，付得開心時，伙計也高興。是次經驗可列作「個別事件」，但不幸此舉令人客反感，不再回頭，食店豈不是得不償失？
