To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 近來去多了酒樓飲茶,晚市酒樓晚飯就比較少,同同事趕完project大家都話試吓酒樓晚市。見到優惠當然唔好執輸,$1 金陵片皮鴨半隻一定要叫,然後叫個杏汁白肺湯再加個晚飯堂食孖寶-東星斑配燒鵝例牌。金陵片皮鴨半隻雖然$1,但一d都唔馬虎,賣相擺盤都做齊。用熱辣辣的薄皮包住油潤甘香嘅燒鴨,皮夠香脆,不會有過多脂肪,食落皮脆肉滑,夾住青瓜及京蔥再加上特別調較的燒鴨醬,真係好味。杏汁燉白肺湯好大一鍋,熱辣辣應該有8-10碗。入口有杏汁香,感覺滋潤,真材實料,好多件豬肺。杏汁嘅味唔係人人接受到,但我就好鍾意,如果個湯杏汁再濃d就更好了。堂食孖寶(東星斑配燒鵝例牌)東星班好大條,我諗唔止一斤,絕對夠4個人食,條魚好新鮮,魚肉嫩滑,食落好有鮮甜味,蒸魚豉油好味有提鮮效果。燒鵝半隻,獲分配超正燒鵝脾,驚喜的是完全唔多肥膏,皮脆肉滑,食落好嫩,燒鵝汁又好味。今晚每樣都抵食夾大件,質素高而且份量好足。
