Amidst the third wave of coronavirus outbreak, my family don’t want to dine out, so takeaway bentos are our saviours to add some colours to our dinner!We had a chicken cutlet rice with egg. The chicken cutlet is marinated with sweet soy sauce, which gives a lot of flavour to the pearl rice. The 蔥油拌麵 is awesome! The 蔥油拌麵 is awesome! The spring onions chopped into pieces go so well with the garlic and the noodles! The braised porks are so flavourful too!
I’m usually not a big fan of century egg, but this one has a nice texture! It’s not too soft and mushy. Together with the tofu, it gives a savoury taste and complex texture, a good mix of jelly and soft, smooth textures!
Finally we had two drinks- grass jelly milk and taro ball milk! The grass jelly has a nice wobbly, jiggly texture. However the taro balls can be a bit softer imho.
