To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 新年必吃糕點之蘿蔔糕及芋頭糕一定是皇牌,今個兔年新春,以翠園的打頭陣。食蘿蔔糕就食它的臘味豐腴的油脂香味,今年翠園的蘿蔔糕完全做到這點。蘿蔔糕裡面有炒香了的臘腸臘肉及北海道瑤柱絲,配上醇香的火腿,當然少不了清甜的粗條蘿蔔絲,食的時候到一條條的蘿蔔,保留了蘿蔔原始的香甜和風味,足料惹味,甜香鮮美,打造出誘人美味,令人齒頰留香。比起蘿蔔糕更加香口的芋頭糕同樣用了爆香的蝦米、臘味等配料;芋頭應該爆炒過、芋頭比粉的份量多許多,薄的部分在煮的過程中融化掉在粉漿裡面,變成芋頭蓉,大粒的則可以豐富口感,食到粒粒芋頭,滋味絕佳;口感爆炸豐富!兩款蘿蔔糕和芋頭糕完全建基在基本食材的質素和工序上,呈現出足料傳統味。
