To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 今日相约同事去飲茶, 這家酒家就係公司附近, 酒家裡燈火通明,地方企理, 上菜很快, 餐具亁淨。脆皮叉燒包 - 麵包皮好似麥西哥包/菠蘿包香脆, 甜甜地的包皮與內𥚃咸咸地的叉燒一起吃, 味道提升不少。香麻流沙包 - 麻蓉餡夠熱和流出來, 但不會太甜。特色煎腸粉 - 腸粉皮煎得香脆, 內裡亦有叉燒餡料, 不油膩。鮮竹卷 - 不會很多芡汁, 味道鲜甜, 餡料爽口。鮮竹牛肉球 - 喼汁和牛肉一直都係好夾, 牛肉球內有馬蹄粒, 令囗感清爽, 亦不是很油膩。蟹籽燒賣皇 - 雖然燒賣皇賣相尚算大粒, 但咬落去口感比較𣺉, 肉質欠缺彈牙。一邊食一邊飲茶, 總覺茶味比較淡, 於是叫侍應加點茶葉。這午餐消費只是$141.50, 居然都可以簽賬, 這點是我最估計不到的。
