To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 聽聞"牛角"大名已久, 但一直未有機會! 今日要到德褔商埸買些東西, 剛巧見牛角門口未有人等位, 所以就借此機會一試!環境格調跟前身"和民"差不多, 只不過主題變做烤肉為主!看到餐牌, 每種烤肉平均價錢為$50左右, 一開始就叫一個椰菜, 看看有什麼出色之處???新鮮的椰菜配上麻油, 再加些芝麻, 就這樣而已, 賣點係咩???接著烤肉點了3款: 豬頸肉, 牛舌及牛肉, 全部份量都不多. 個人認為如果係男生在肚餓時, 可能需要叫多回才能滿足! 肉質新鮮好食, 但這裡的爐火太接近網位了, 食物很快會燒焦!!! 到最後, 確實不太飽, 但又唔想無止境叫烤肉, 因為烤肉需時, 份量不多, 變得慢食唔會這麼快有飽肚感, 所以索性點一個此店很出名的"牛角飯". 就係在飯上舖上一屠紫菜, 另外飯裡面亦混有特製醬汁, 味道就是這樣了! 二人埋單約$200, 這價錢真的可以有更好的選擇.
