To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

位於香港金鐘萬豪酒店 5 樓,以龍蝦做主題的美式餐廳 「JW's California」前陣子結業了,唔知大家會唔會因此而感到有點失落呢? 原來店子經改頭換面後,已經翻新成另一間以賣歐陸菜式為主打的餐廳「Flint Grill & Bar」,全新形象,的確令人耳目一新。筆者早前就有幸獲得 OpenRice 邀請,出席由網站和該食肆合辦的 Tasting Event,品嘗了店裡一系列招牌菜式,在此再次說聲多謝。原來餐廳劃分為好幾個區域,除了一進店的酒吧區外,往內進還有一個專為美酒愛好者而設、把美酒和佳餚結合,為客人帶來嶄新餐饗體驗的品酒師之桌。接著的當然還有 Chef's Table、中央的用餐區和以透明玻璃設計的 VIP 房喇!見開放式的酒吧檯上,放滿了不少新鮮的蔬果及香草,還有不少自家製的果漿及香草汁,相信是用來調校不同情調的雞尾酒和特色飲料吧!由於當天來到的時間尚早,獲邀的數十位會員還沒到齊,所以先於酒吧區域四圍拍吓照。活動正式開始,先由駐店經理 Richard Taffs 介紹「Flint Grill & Bar」的經營理念,希望把餐廳打造成一個不論是三五知己共聚、輕鬆地細呷雞尾

緊接出場的星級調酒師 Bryson Rivera,即席為各賓客示範怎樣以 Angostura 之霧、方糖、葡萄乾、Ron Zacapa 23 冧酒,以及微量煙熏肉桂片炮製 Feint Obscurity 雞尾特飲,表現專業,難怪各會員都爭相拍照留念。

有酒當然不可以無餚,其實餐廳方面亦為我們一衆會員準備了不少《酒吧小食》,當中包括脆炸西班牙火腿芝士球,入口外層香脆,內層的半溶芝士夾雜著西班牙黑毛豬火腿,芝香和鹹香共冶一爐,配搭有趣,無論用來伴蘋果蓉或蒜香果仁醬同吃,都咁滋味。

餘下小吃還包括有鵝肝醬配合桃麵包及無花果醬、西班牙火腿伴多士配煙燻紅椒,而筆者就最喜愛鹹香的坎塔布連鯷魚,用來配清香甘甜、餘味無窮的青橄欖又或者甜蜜多汁的新鮮無花果一齊食,味道皆一絕。由於相片上載數量限制,下篇再續。
